To attain the high standards of visuals, physics and performance required for such a model, for several months Studio 397 has been collaborating closely with Ferrari, working with the development team to validate progress by receiving regular and positive feedback from the manufacturers’ engineers, Ferrari’s own esports team and real life WEC drivers.Head of Studio 397, Dom Duhan, commented: “Having the opportunity to work with such an incredible group of individuals at Ferrari, which is of course is one of the most well-known brands in the world, has been a pleasure. "Our technical collaboration has allowed us to replicate the intricacies of the real-world car and without Ferrari's engineering and dedicated input it would undoubtedly have been a bigger challenge to bring the 499P to life. This is the first appearance of this Le Mans winning car in sim racing and gaming, another world-first for the Studio.” The stunning Ferrari 499P came roaring into the 2023 FIA WEC in March of this year and instantly made the world sit up and take note, by taking pole position ahead of its first ever race. The first factory-supported prototype to be campaigned by the world-famous Italian marque for 50 years then went on to take victory at the Centenary edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans following a close battle with Toyota throughout the entire 24 hours. James Calado, Antonio Giovinazzi and Alessandro Pier Guidi drove the No.51 499P to the chequered flag of the at Le Mans and led Ferrari’s jubilant celebrations for winning overall for the first time since 1965. On the 21st December 2023 the car can be seen in action on the legendary Italian Temple of Speed, the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, during a day of online content as the car virtually shakes itself down publicly for the first time. In Le Mans Ultimate, as in the 2023 WEC, the Ferrari 499P will be competing alongside Hypercars from Toyota, Porsche, Peugeot, Cadillac, Glickenhaus and Vanwall and players will be able to drive all seven Hypercars from the 2023 season in the game.
