There will be a change in the Peugeot Sport line-up at the 6 Hours of Fuji, for the sixth and penultimate round of the 2023 World Endurance Championship season on September 10. While Jean-Eric Vergne, Paul di Resta and Mikkel Jensen will share the wheel of the #93 9X8, the #94 will be entrusted to a new trio.

➡️ Tom Blomqvist absent from Fuji 6 H. entry list... to contest the IndyCar final?

Loïc Duval and Gustavo Menezes will be there, but not Nico Müller, who is injured. And according to our information, the Swiss driver will be replaced by Stoffel Vandoorne, the team's reserve driver who is defending the interests of Stellantis Motorsport in Formula E, where he drives in the colours of DS Penske.

On a Fuji Speedway circuit that is far from easy, the 2021-2022 Formula E champion will not have an easy task, but he will be able to count on the perfect knowledge of the terrain of his team-mate Loïc Duval and on a Peugeot Sport team that is on an upward slope after a good performance at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and a first podium at the beginning of July, in Monza.

The last WEC appearance for the Aston Martin Racing's F1 reserve driver came on November 6, 2021, at the finale of the ninth season of the FIA WEC in Bahrain. He finished third in the LMP2 class in the #28 Jota Oreca 07, which earned him the honorary title of class runner-up.

Meanwhile, we wish Nico Müller a speedy recovery.

➡️ At 2pm, Peugeot confirmed the news, making official the presence of Stoffel Vandoorne in the #94 Peugeot 9X8 in place of the injured Nico Müller. "Unfortunately, Nico won’t be able to race for this round and we wish him a speedy recovery" Olivier Jansonnie said. "Stoffel Vandoorne has all our trust, and we know that he will be able to step in quickly and give his maximum."
