Penske here, Penske there... A few weeks ago, Scott McLaughlin and Josef Newgarden announced their presence at the 24 Hours of Daytona Florida in the Tower Motorsport Oreca 07. This was enough to make Will Power, their teammate in the Team Penske IndyCar Series, envious.

However, the 41 year old Australian rocket is set to join his team-mates on the grid. According to our information, he will join his fellow countryman Kenny Habul in the #75 Sun Engergy 1 Mercedes-AMG GT3 run by Akkodis-ASP team. As reported yesterday, the two Aussies will share the wheel with Fabian Schiller and Axcil Jefferies.

This information seems to be confirmed by Fabian Schiller's Instagram post, which reads: Our fourth driver "Will" be announced later.

Curiously, the winner of the 2018 Indy 500 has never taken part in the Florida classic. A mistake that is about to be rectified. And with such a crew, the last-minute guest Mercedes-AMG GT3 can certainly harbour hopes of victory in GTD.
