After a shakedeown at the Varano circuit, the BMW M Hybrid V8 headed to Spain to rack up the miles at Barcelona-Catalunya and MotorLand-Aragon.

Nick Yelloly, one of the official BMW drivers, was one of the lucky ones invited to take the wheel of the German hypercar, along with Sheldon van der Linde, Marco Wittmann, Connor de Philippi, Augusto Farfus and Philipp Eng. And on social networks, he did a brief comment about it.

"The first impressions are really good", he said. "The BMW M Hybrid V8 is really working well at the very early stages of the tests. I think we're coming into a golden aera for sportscars. BMW is entering the IMSA championship. And now the WEC as well. So we have a broad spectrum of championships, some big races to trying compete and of course bring our baby home in P1."

A very simple statement without any major information, but which proves once again that BMW wants to use its Hypercar project as a major marketing tool.

As a reminder, the M Hybrid V8 will compete in IMSA next year with Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing, before going on to compete in the WEC from 2024 with WRT. In the near future, a M Hybrid V8 will be sent in the US to allow RLL to get used to its new weapon.
