Car Collection Motorsport returns to the ADAC 24h Nürburgring
Car Collection Motorsport is returning to its motorsport home: under the ‘Goroyan RT by Car Collection’ banner, the team from the Rheingau will be competing in the endurance classic in the Eifel, which takes place from 14 to 17 May 2026, with a latest-generation Porsche 911 GT3 R. The team will be competing under the Armenian flag.
The Porsche will be competing in the SP9 Pro-Am class. The car will be driven by Artur Goroyan – last year's champion in the TCR class in the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie – Oleg Kvitka from Kyrgyzstan, Porsche ace Alex Fontana, who has already competed for Car Collection Motorsport in the GT World Challenge Europe, the International GT Open, the Asian Le Mans Series and other races in Australia, the USA and Europe, among others, and former Audi works driver Nathanaël Berthon.
Fontana, who won the Pro-Am class title in the GT World Challenge Europe Endurance Cup with the Car Collection racing team in 2023, and Goroyan already competed in last year's double-header of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie with a Porsche 911 GT3 R. During the event, the Swiss driver with Greek roots managed to secure one pole position. The duo finished both races on the podium in the SP9 Pro-Am class.
In order to prepare perfectly for the challenges of the Nürburgring Nordschleife and the Evo package of the Porsche 911 GT3 R, Goroyan RT by Car Collection will complete a total of four preparatory races before the 24-hour race. The Porsche in Armenian colours will compete in the season opener and the third round of the Nürburgring Langstrecken-Serie. The team will also compete in both races of the ADAC 24h Qualifiers. Artur Goroyan and Oleg Kvitka will drive the car in all races and will be supported by Fontana at the season opener. Nathanaël Berthon will be the third driver in the other preparatory races.
‘This will be our first start in the 24-hour race at the Nürburgring since 2023, which we are very happy about, as the Nürburgring Nordschleife is our motorsport home,’ explains team manager Romina Schmidt. ‘Our start in last year's double-header made us very confident that we can fight for a good result in the SP9 Pro-Am class. We will also use our preparatory races to ensure we have the best possible package for the start in May!’
