Garage 59 returns to GT World Challenge Europe with strong dual McLaren GT3 EVO entry
Garage 59 is proud to announce its return to GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS in 2026, fielding two McLaren GT3 EVOs in a strong dual-class assault on the Championship.
The British squad will compete in both the Pro and Gold Cup categories, with an exciting combination of proven race winners and rising talent, as it looks to make an immediate impact on its return to Europe’s premier GT3 series.
In the #59 Pro Cup McLaren, Marvin Kirchhöfer and Dean Macdonald will take on the full series, with Joseph Loake joining them for the Endurance Cup races. Both Marvin and Dean took outright wins in GT World Challenge last year and are looking to continue this trend in 2026.
“It feels great to go into the new GT World Challenge season with a full McLaren factory driver line-up,” said Kirchhöfer. “Both Dean and Joseph were outstanding last year. Considering Joseph was in his rookie season of GT3 racing he was very fast and super consistent so I’m excited to see his progression continue. Dean is a good friend of mine so I’m very happy to finally be sharing a car with him. I think we have an exciting season ahead of us. We have a strong car and I firmly believe this is the strongest McLaren line-up we have seen for a long time. Let’s see what we can do!”
The team’s #58 Gold Cup McLaren GT3 EVO will be raced by Louis Prette, Thomas Fleming and Benji Goethe. Prette’s recent outright victory at the final GTWCE round of 2025 in Barcelona, coupled with Goethe’s double race-winning success in 2025 highlight the depth and competitiveness of the Gold Cup line-up, with Fleming completing a well-balanced trio eager to fight at the front of the category. The Sprint Cup line-up for the #58 McLaren will comprise Fleming and Prette, who is keen to get the new season underway.
“I’m really looking forward to getting back in the Garage 59 McLaren this year., said Prette. “We finished last season on a high with several class wins and an overall victory in Barcelona, so the momentum is definitely there. Teaming up with Tom across both Sprint and Endurance looks very promising—we already showed strong pace together in Sprint—and having Benji join us for the Endurance rounds makes it feel like we’ve got a really strong lineup. I can’t wait to get the season started at Paul Ricard.”
