Newcomer with winning genes: Endurance racing on the legendary Nordschleife is gaining a prominent new team. Under the name ‘Mercedes-AMG Team RAVENOL’, a project combining long-term commitment and top performance will be launched in the 2026 season. In a multi-year cooperation, the team will field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 in a total of six races in the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series (NLS) and in the legendary ADAC RAVENOL 24h-Rennen Nürburgring. The project will be run by the renowned Mercedes-AMG performance team Winward Racing.

The project underscores the high sporting ambitions of all those involved. With its status as an official performance team, the team enjoys support from Affalterbach. A special detail adorns the vehicle design, which is based on the look of Maro Engel's Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the DTM: the team will enter the race with start number 80. This is a tribute to the 80th anniversary of RAVENOL (founded in 1946). Visually, the power and agility of the vehicle is underlined by the symbol of the cheetah – the fastest land animal in the world is the inspiration for performance on the race track.

For RAVENOL, this commitment is a clear statement of its dedication to motorsport, its partnership with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport, and the Nürburgring. After more than a third of the entire 24-hour starting field relied on lubricants from Werther last year, the company is now taking its presence to a new level.

Martin Huning (Director RAVENOL Motorsport): "I am very much looking forward to the new motorsport program with Mercedes-AMG Motorsport and Team Winward. We have a long-standing and trusting partnership with both companies. We also feel very much at home at the Nürburgring, for example through the RAVENOL Media Center or the RAVENOL-S after the start/finish line. Added to this are the title partnerships with the ADAC RAVENOL Nürburgring Endurance Series and the ADAC RAVENOL 24h Nürburgring."

Christoph Sagemüller (Head of Mercedes-AMG Motorsport): "Working with RAVENOL to field a Mercedes-AMG GT3 on the Nürburgring Nordschleife exemplifies what we stand for at Mercedes-AMG Motorsport: long-term partnerships, the highest level of technical expertise, and uncompromising performance. We have a long-standing and trusting partnership with RAVENOL, which is now also visible on the biggest stage of endurance racing at the Nürburgring together with our performance team Winward Racing."
