The Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Program was launched in 2020, with current Porsche Driver Alessio Picariello the first to hold the title. During his two years in the position, the Belgian racer became European Le Mans Series LMGTE champion and made his debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, before graduating to a Porsche Driver contract in 2022. Yifei Ye would be the second Selected Driver in 2022 and 2023, competing in Asian Le Mans Series, European Le Mans Series and racing in a Porsche 963 in World Endurance Championship.

In 2025, Boccolacci joined Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific ahead of the 2025 campaign, embarking on a very active year. This featured several GT World Challenge Asia podiums, along with appearances in GT World Challenge Australia, Nürburgring Langstrecken Serie, Nürburgring 24 Hours, Suzuka 1000km, Super GT, Thailand Super Series and the FIA GT World Cup in Macau.

The Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver Program consists of young drivers being scouted to drive GT Sport in the region and internationally, with support from Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific. Alongside financial backing, the programme ensures consistent coaching from Porsche Junior coach Sascha Maassen. The Selected Driver is mentored both on and off track including physical training camps, brand and marketing training, and is the final stage of the regional driver development programme before a potential step up to full Porsche driver status.

Trulli now becomes the fourth Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver, following a strong second season in GT racing. The 20-year-old made a positive impression in his debut year in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, finishing second in the championship and taking six podiums, including a debut victory at Shanghai International Circuit. As a result of this exceptional performance, Trulli was selected to attend the Porsche Junior shootout in late 2025.

The Italian moved into car racing after a solid karting career in 2021. He would win Formula 4 UAE Championship, while also claiming four podiums in Euroformula Open. Trulli competed in FIA Formula 3 in 2022, ahead of swapping to Super Formula Lights the following year, where he would take two wins, finishing fifth in the standings. Trulli then switched to Italian GT before making his Porsche debut in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia, where he would secure second in his debut season in the Championship.

Trulli will take on a diverse programme in multi-brand GT Sport in 2026, with details to be announced at a later date.

Enzo Trulli, Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver: “It’s a dream come true to become the new Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver for 2026. I loved my time in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia last season and I learned a lot about Porsche and racing in Asia. The highlight of the year was my pole and win on debut in Shanghai, while also discovering new tracks in the region. My experience in the championship will be a huge help for me in the upcoming season, I loved the atmosphere and feel at each race, the fans are incredible in Asia and make every event feel special. I have a lot more to learn and it will be a busy year but I’ll work hard to adapt quickly and show my speed on track.”

Dorian Boccolacci, Porsche Driver: “I’m delighted with how my year as Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver went as I now move into my new role as a Porsche Driver. I’ve received lots of support to help me improve as a driver both in and outside the car. It was a great season as I competed at some prestigious events in the Asia-Pacific region and internationally. All this great guidance and experience has allowed me to take the next step in my career with the marque by being named a Porsche Driver. I’m excited for what the future holds, and I can’t wait to race around the globe representing the brand.”

Sascha Maassen, Porsche Junior Coach: “I’m very happy that Dorian is taking the next step of his career with Porsche after having such a strong history with the marque through One-Make Series, GT Sport and the Selected Driver Program, so this new role as a Porsche Driver is well deserved. I’ve worked and supported each Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver since the start of the programme and Enzo is the youngest one yet. He made such a strong impression in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia during 2025 and we have ambitious plans for his development, so I’m looking forward to working with him in 2026.”

Alexandre Gibot, Managing Director Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Ltd.: “We’re delighted to welcome Enzo Trulli as the 2026 Porsche Motorsport Asia Pacific Selected Driver, succeeding Dorian Boccolacci, who now moves on to an amazing next step in his career with Porsche. Dorian impressed us instantly and has consistently performed throughout his time with us, earning his place in the factory roster. It makes us extremely proud that Dorian is the second Selected Driver from our programme who has stepped up to the position of a Porsche Driver. Enzo was excellent in Porsche Carrera Cup Asia this year and we see a bright future for him racing with us in 2026. The full details of his programme will follow, but he will be actively competing in GT Sport both regionally and internationally, as we aim to take him to the next level of his career.”
