Garage 59, the multiple championship-winning British racing team, is set to take to the world stage in 2026, fielding two McLaren GT3 EVOs in the FIA World Endurance Championship (WEC)*. The team will run this programme alongside a GT World Challenge Europe (GTWCE) campaign, where it has been the most successful McLaren GT3 team over the past decade.

This move marks a significant expansion of Garage 59’s race programme and underscores the team’s commitment to competing at the highest level of international GT racing. The McLaren GT3 EVO has already proven itself in GT3 competition, and Garage 59 will leverage its extensive experience with McLaren machinery across multiple championships to maximise performance in the World Endurance Championship.

We are proud to be partnering with McLaren on the world stage,” said Andrew Kirkaldy, team principal of Garage 59. “Competing in the WEC with two McLaren GT3 cars isn’t just a progression, it’s a statement of intent. We know how intense the competition is in the WEC but we believe we have the people, the infrastructure, and the resolve to be competitive from day one.”

Garage 59 will also move into new state-of-the-art premises in Northampton, providing expanded facilities for engineering, car preparation, and team operations, further strengthening its capability to perform at the highest level.

Motorsport is intrinsic to the DNA of McLaren Automotive and it's exciting to continue our journey in the LMGT3 class with new racing partner Garage 59,” said McLaren Automotive CEO Nick Collins. “We hope to continue our strong progress and race winning performance with our new racing partners in 2026.”

The 2026 FIA World Endurance Championship will kick off with the Qatar 1812KM in March, before moving on to Imola and Spa. June will see the iconic 24 Hours of Le Mans, followed by the second half of the season at some of the world’s most exciting circuits, including Interlagos in Brazil, the Circuit of the Americas in Texas, and Fuji Speedway in Japan, before concluding in Bahrain in November.

Information regarding driver line-ups for WEC and GT World Challenge will be announced in due course.
