Josh Rattican became this morning the ninth diferrent poleman in ten sprint GT Open races this year. The young Brit, at the wheel of the McLaren 720S shared with Jayden Kelly, in what is only the second of the second Greystone GT car. Rattican posted a time of 1.38.587 and was clearly very satisfied.
It’s a nice track and the car was amazing. We had a very good debut in Austria, with one podium finish, and missing narrowly another one, so we are doing well and enjoying tremendously the experience. It’a a great championship, very competitive, with exciting racing.”
It’s again a warm day in Barcelona, with perfect track conditions. Sharing first row will be the Motopark Mercedes of championship leader Levente Révész, with Max Götz qualifying it for Race 1 and being beaten by only 0s057.
In second row will be the Mercedes of Fabian Schiller (GetSpeed, +0s108) and Dexter Müller (SPS, +0s132), while in third will sit the Elite Ferrari of Tom Lebbon (+0s196) and the Eastalent Racing Audi of the main championship challengers, with Simon Reicher at the wheel (+0s605).
Artem Petrov brought the Oregon Lambo to third row (+0s861) and will have at his side Pro-Am leader Aaron Walker in the GetSpeed Mercedes (+0s891). AM leader Michele Rugolo (AF Corse) posted the best time among Am cars.
