DL Racing scores home Pro-Am win at Misano as Prette completes Am class double
The all-Italian duo of Diego Locanto and Luca Segù charged to the front early in the 60-minute contest, and from then on it was a controlled drive to victory for the #72 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo EVO 2. Likewise, once Prette found clear air the #1 LP Racing Maserati driver was in control and brought home a sixth Am class success of the season.
A rapid getaway from the front row and bravery under braking at the first corner was key for Segù. The Italian charged past Nil Montserrat’s #115 NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG, which quickly fell from pole to fifth by the time the field reached the end of the back straight.
Segù quickly pulled clear, extending his advantage to more than seven seconds before handing over to Locanto. He was trailed by a four-car fight for second position led by Egor Orudzhev (#12 ART-Line Lamborghini), while Mauro Calamia (#7 DINAMIC Motorsport) squeezed his Maserati past Mato Homola (#89 RTR Projects KTM) for third.
Once behind the wheel of the lead Lamborghini, Locanto delivered a peerless performance at the head of the field. He maintained and eventually stretched the advantage, confirming a double Pro-Am triumph for Lamborghini on home soil with a winning margin of nine seconds.
Roberto Pampanini moved up to second in the DINAMIC Motorsport entry after the completion of the pit stop phase, scoring more important points with runner-up spot at the team’s home event. The Pro-Am podium was rounded out by the recovering Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra crew of Stefan Rosina and Bronek Formanek (#11 Lamborghini), who retain a comfortable advantage at the top of the standings.
A slow pit stop and then a spin cost Saturday winners ART-Line in their bid for a double victory. Orudzhev and Shota Abkhazava fell to fourth in Pro-Am, finishing ahead of the KTM shared by Homola and Davit Kajaia.
Prette continued his imperious form in the Am class, producing a lights-to-flag performance to seal his sixth win of the season. His LP Racing team-mates Luca Pirri and Stéphane Ratel brought their Audi R8 LMS GT2 home second to make it a one-two in the category, while the #53 Akkodis ASP Mercedes-AMG rounded out the Am podium with Christophe Bourret and Pascal Gibon.
With four of six events complete, the GT2 European Series powered by Pirelli next heads to Circuit Ricardo Tormo Valencia on 19-21 September for the first of two Spanish double-headers. Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya concludes the 2025 campaign on 10–12 October.
