Haase (Eastalent Racing Audi) in pole for GT Open’s 300th race
Christopher Haase will be in pole for the 300th race of the International GT Open this afternoon at the Hungaroring. The reigning co-champion, in the Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS that he shares with Simon Reicher, dominated a qualifying session held in more bearable conditions this morning on the Magyar track.
“Massive thanks to the team, which gave me a perfect car, with incredible grip”, said the German, “After a collection of P2 finishes, I hope we can take the first win of the year that we are still chasing.”
Sharing first row will be the Car Collection Porsche of Alex Fontana (+0s543), while two Ferraris will be in row 2, with Tommaso Mosca (AF Corse, + 0s729) and yesterday’s winner Tom Emson (Elite Motorsport, +0s839).
An impressive Michele Rugolo was fifth overall and first in Am with the AF Corse Ferrari (+0s912), sharing third row with Phil Ellis in the Motopark Mercedes of standings leader an local hero Levente Révész (+0s932).
