In the first GT4 Europe Qualifying outings since 2021, both Gregory Guilvert and Robert Consani shattered the old lap record, with Guilvert’s outright best in Q1 1.5s faster than any other GT4 lap around the Dutch track. Consani was only marginally behind, but did enough to deny the #8 a double pole by a few tenths of a second.

Q1: Guilvert firmly on top

Having been a podium finisher the last time GT4 Europe visited Zandvoort, Guilvert was always going to be a strong contender for pole, and he duly produced a masterful performance.

Clement Seyler (Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin) and Benjamin Lariche (Team Speedcar Audi) swapped the top time before Guilvert hit the front, his ultimate best putting the #8 he shares with Paul Petit clear by 0.5s by the time the Silver runners gave way to the combined Pro-Am/Am field.

Hendrik Still gave Guilvert a run for his money in the #32 W&S Motorsport Porsche, but even his best fell 0.3s shy, but he and Joachim Bölting will line up on the front row and in a clear class pole.

Erik Evans could have been closer but a mistake on his fastest lap left the #61 Academy Motorsport Ford Mustang third, ahead of Lluc Ibañez in the #15 NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG. Lariche was fifth, ahead of Silver points leader Hadrien David and Jan Duran in their Matmut Évolution Toyota.

Mathieu Detry was second in Pro-am for AV Racing, albeit 10 places overall behind Still, with Stanislav Safronov right alongside in the #7 Mirage Racing Aston Martin.

Max Kronberg continued his strong form from Friday to grab Am class pole in the #30 W&S Porsche, comfortably clear of points-leader Jean-Mathieu Leandri (Chazel Technologie Course BMW) and Hans Holmlund (Toyota Gazoo Racing UK Supra).

Q2: Consani makes it two for Audi

Much like Guilvert in Q1, Consani put his stamp on the second session early, laying down a marker for others to chase.

The Frenchman hit the front immediately, with his best only fractionally down on Guilvert’s new record. Petit led the chase in the sister car, but his final effort fell 0.2s shy. Still the #8 starts the weekend with a pole and a second, and will be one to watch.

Marco Signoretti backed up the Academy Mustang’s potential by claiming a second third place for the #61 to keep he and Evans in the fight, while Duran moved the #87 Toyota up to fourth late in the session. Ethan Gialdini (CMR Ginetta) and

William Orton (Racing Spirit of Léman Aston Martin) completed the top six.

A superb effort from Alberto Naska secured pole for the PB Racing Lotus Emira, his best effort putting the car 15th overall and clear of his class rivals. Thibaut Mogica (CMR Ginetta) lines up second, eight places overall behind the Lotus, with Aleksandr Vaintrub keeping the #7 Mirage Aston in the top three.

After missing Am pole in Q1, Antoni de Barn made no mistake and reasserted the #317 Chazel Technologie Course BMW on top this time. He just beat Holmlund’s Toyota to top spot, with Keith Gatehouse third in the #88 NM Racing Team Mercedes-AMG.
