Premiere for SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm in the 2025 season: For the first time, the team from the Allgäu will contest the entire ADAC GT Masters season. The team has already contested several guest starts in the past two years and was able to impressively demonstrate its potential with two podium results and a pole position. The start of a Mercedes-AMG GT3 has already been finalised, while team boss Thomas Angerer is still working on a second car.

Jannes Fittje and Moritz Wiskirchen will take turns at the wheel of the #21 Mercedes-AMG GT3. The two talented and fast drivers form an exciting combination of talent and experience.

The 25-year-old Fittje has been competing in the ADAC GT Masters since 2020. Fittje, who also took a class win at the 24 Hours of Spa - the world's biggest GT3 race - in 2023, has celebrated a total of three overall victories in the racing series. His most successful season to date came in 2023, when he finished third in the championship. Fittje also competed in the GTC Race at Spa-Francorchamps last year with Schnitzelalm Racing and narrowly missed out on victory in the one-hour race on the Ardennes rollercoaster.

Jannes Fittje is looking forward to the upcoming ADAC GT Masters season: ‘I'm really looking forward to competing in the ADAC GT Masters with SR Motorsport. I've always been among the front-runners in recent years, but in the end I lacked that last bit of luck to win the championship. My goal this year is clearly to compete for the title and hopefully win it in the end. I think we are in a very good position. We will use the test days to prepare intensively for the season opener at the Lausitzring at the end of May. In Moritz Wiskirchen, I have a good team-mate at my side, so that we can also ride at the front on every race weekend. I'm just looking forward to the start of the season and we will work hard so that we can achieve our goal in the end!’

His partner will be 22-year-old Moritz Wiskirchen, who is entering his first full ADAC GT Masters season. In the past two years, he has already made three guest starts with the team in the ADAC's traditional GT3 series. Wiskirchen has also competed with SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm on the Nordschleife, in the GTC Race and in the GT Winter Series and achieved strong results with the team.

‘The series has been a dream of mine since I was a child and I am obviously delighted that it is now coming true. I was able to gain some experience in the guest starts at the Nürburgring and the Hockenheimring in the last two years and am obviously delighted that we can now race the whole season. I believe that Jannes and I are a good match and that we can definitely compete at the front,’ said Moritz Wiskirchen ahead of his first full year in the ADAC GT Masters.

‘I'm delighted that we've now managed to contest the full season in the ADAC GT Masters after the guest starts in the past two years. The series has always been a dream of ours, so it fills me with pride that we can now take this step,’ said SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm team boss Thomas Angerer. ‘I'm particularly pleased that we've made the step up with Moritz, who has already worked with us over the past two years. I believe that in Jannes Fittje we have an experienced and strong rider as a partner for him. We are really looking forward to the season and are proud to be contesting the entire season in this high-quality GT3 series!’

SR Motorsport by Schnitzelalm is still working on fielding a second Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the ADAC GT Masters. The team is still looking for suitable drivers.

The ADAC GT Masters has six race weekends this year, each with two races. Four race weekends will take place as part of the DTM supporting programme, plus one start at the Truck GP and one joint event with an ADAC Racing Weekend. The championship celebrates a premiere at the beginning of September, when the ‘Super Sports Car League’ makes its first guest appearance at the tradition-steeped Salzburgring in Austria. The endurance format will be used at the Lausitzring, the Nürburgring and at the premiere at the Salzburgring, with both races lasting 80 minutes - the participants will also have to complete two mandatory pit stops, change tyres and refuel. The other races will be held in the familiar one-hour format.
