JAS Motorsport to support NSX GT3 Evo 22 customers through phasing-out of NSX programme
The multiple championship-winning Honda NSX GT3 Evo 22 will continue to race across the globe in 2025 and beyond as JAS Motorsport today confirms a comprehensive customer racing support package.
The NSX GT3 has been the culmination of a collaborative project between Honda Racing Corporation (HRC), Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) and JAS Motorsport. The car debuted in late 2015 and was a race winner in North America's premier IMSA Championship the following year.
The officially-supported NSX GT3 Customer Racing Programme, which began in 2018, ended in March, 2025. JAS Motorsport, Honda’s European motorsport partner for over 25 years, which has been responsible for the build of all NSX GT3s, will continue to ensure that customer teams receive first-class support throughout the model's latest three-year homologation cycle, which runs to the end of 2027.
The firm, based in Arluno, Italy, will provide an extensive range of engineering and personnel support packages into the new era, which will match what was previously offered over the past six seasons. It will also be the official global distributor of spare and replacement components for the vehicle.
The NSX GT3 Customer Racing Programme was established for 2018 with JAS Motorsport responsible for assembly of all cars plus customer support in all global regions except Japan and North America, where these roles were carried out by M-TEC and HRC US respectively.
Six IMSA GTD titles followed, as did significant championship crowns for the NSX GT3 Evo and Evo 22 versions in the SUPER GT Series in Japan, the GT World Challenge America, the Le Mans Cup, Blancpain GT Sports Club and Italian GT Championship; its most recent title coming in Thailand Super Series GT3 in 2024.
NSX GT3 Evo 22s will continue competing in Europe and Asia in 2025.
Stefano Fini, JAS Motorsport NSX GT3 Project Leader, said: "While this year marks the end of an era for the NSX GT3 Evo 22, it also provides an exciting new opportunity for JAS Motorsport to play an expanded role in supporting customers going forwards. We have been centrally involved in the NSX GT3 programme since the very start and the team in Arluno has unrivalled expertise of the car and how to make it win. We are extremely proud of all that we and our customer racing teams have achieved with the various evolutions of the NSX GT3 since 2015 and thank Honda Racing Corporation (HRC)and Honda Racing Corporation USA (HRC US) for their confidence in JAS and roles in achieving 25 major titles globally. The way in which the performance of all GT3 cars worldwide is strictly balanced for parity means that we have no doubt that the NSX GT3 Evo 22 can continue to challenge for honours throughout the next three years and we look forward to playing a central part in that."
