MANN-FILTER celebrates Mamba's anniversary and presents an extensive motorsport program for 2025
“Drivers, start your engines” — these words give every driver, team member, and fan goosebumps. The 2025 motorsport season will start in a few weeks, and it will be a very special year for the MANN-FILTER premium filtration brand.
Successful 2024 season — MANN-FILTER, together with WINWARD Racing, secured two titles last year
Last season featured great successes for MANN-FILTER. The two regular drivers Maro Engel and Lucas Auer secured the drivers’ titles both in the Sprint Cup and in the overall ranking of the GT World Challenge Europe. With consistently strong performances, thrilling duels, and impressive teamwork, they demonstrated the potential of the Mamba at the highest level. In the DTM too, the team was impressive with its strong results and gained important experience for the coming season. The successful cooperation with WINWARD Racing paid off and forms the basis for a promising 2025 season.
Newcomer to the DTM: Jules Gounon, welcome to the MANN-FILTER family!
In 2025, the MANN-FILTER Mamba will again be on display in the highest league of GT sports. The team will contest all eight championship races under the name “Mercedes-AMG Team MANN-FILTER”. The highlight of the season is the event at the Norisring street circuit in Nuremberg, while the calendar also includes two international races at Zandvoort (Netherlands) and the Red Bull Ring (Austria).
MANN-FILTER welcomes newcomer Jules Gounon (30, France) to the team with a warm “Bienvenue” and is looking forward to an exciting season with the 2017 ADAC GT Masters champion, who not only won the 24-hour race at Spa-Francorchamps twice, but also stood on the podium at the famous 12-hour race in Bathurst and is a permanent fixture in GT racing.
Strong driver line-up with proven duo and newcomer Matteo Cairoli in the GT World Challenge
In the GT World Challenge, the car with the starting number #48 will compete as usual in the popular MANN-FILTER Mamba design. Last year’s winners Maro Engel (39, Germany) and Lucas Auer (30, Austria) will once again pilot the Mercedes-AMG together in the Sprint Cup. They bring their experience and skills to build on last year's successes.
Matteo Cairoli (28, Italy) will strengthen the team in the Endurance Cup. The Italian is no stranger to the long-distance scene. As a former Porsche and then later Lamborghini factory driver and current pilot in the FIA WEC for Iron Lynx, he brings additional strength and dynamics to the line-up. Together they form a powerful trio that is aiming for titles in both sprint and endurance races.
WINWARD Racing team boss Christian Hohenadel is motivated as he looks ahead to the 2025 season: "We are looking forward to presenting the Mamba's colors nationally and internationally once again. We are already in the middle of our pre-season preparations and have completed our first test drives. Much will be the same, but there will also be a lot that's new. We welcome our newcomers and will, of course, try to win one or two championship titles this year."
Horsepower in the truck segment: MANN-FILTER extends partnership with Tankpool24 Racing Team
For the third year in a row, MANN-FILTER will also be present in truck racing. Together with the Tankpool24 Racing Team and regular driver Steffen Faas, a truck in partial MANN-FILTER design will be at the start of the FIA European Truck Racing Championship.
Reason to celebrate — ten years of MANN-FILTER Mamba!
The 2025 motorsport year is a very special one for MANN-FILTER! The Mamba is celebrating its tenth anniversary. And obviously, this not only means thrilling racing action on the track, but also lots of highlights and surprises in the drivers’ camp, on the social media channels, and on the updated MANN-FILTER Motorsport website!
MANN-FILTER sponsorship manager Filipina Manou is looking forward to the upcoming season with numerous campaigns and provides some insight into the tenth anniversary: "We are delighted to be celebrating ten years of MANN-FILTER Mamba together with the teams, partners, and fans who have accompanied us on our journey. Be it at the racetrack, on live TV, on our social media channels, or at our customer fairs. 2025 will continue in the same vein as the past ten years — with VIP support on site, fans and customers in yellow and green, and one or two extra surprises. This season promises a lot of action. With Jules Gounon in the DTM and a strong driver line-up in the GTWC, we have the right pilots to celebrate even more success. We're looking forward to a thrilling season and strong #MAMBAMANIA action!"
