Iron Lynx will continue its collaboration with Proton Competition for the 2025 European Le Mans Series season. The team will be fielding the #9 Oreca 07 LMP2 racecar again in the upcoming series, beginning with the season-opening 4 Hours of Barcelona, and will thus continue competing  for the overall honors.

The team will focus on reaping the benefits of continuity. It will be lining-up with an unchanged driver lineup to the one that achieved one win in 2024, and with the goal of building on the positive debut season.

Jonas Ried will be back for his third year in endurance racing after making the switch from single-seaters. The 20-year-old German will be partnered by Maceo Capietto and Matteo Cairoli. Capietto, a 19-year-old Frenchman, also makes his return to Endurance Racing to enter his second LMP2 season. Experienced 26-year-old Italian Cairoli will run in ELMS to complement his FIA World Endurance Championship program with Iron Lynx.

The 2025 ELMS championship will kick off with a round of collective testing at Barcelona on the 1st of April, followed by the opener on April 6.

Andrea Piccini - Team Principal & CEO: "We are delighted to continue our collaboration with Proton for the ELMS LMP2 program after the promise we showed last season. We think there is room to make more steps forward, and having the same lineup of drivers will help us leverage the work we have done so far. We trust Jonas, Maceo, and Matteo, and we look forward to supporting them in their championship run."

Jonas Ried - Driver #9 Oreca LMP2: "I'm happy to be returning to the team for a second season in the European Le Mans Series. We are ready to go back on track to continue our work and build on what we have started last year."

Maceo Capietto - Driver #9 Oreca LMP2: "2025 is looking fantastic, after our first season in LMP2 last year, I am confident we can fight at the front using the experience acquired. We have the speed, now it’s about showcasing it!"

Matteo Cairoli - Driver #9 Oreca LMP2: "I'm really happy to continue racing in the European le Mans Series for the 2025 season. The goal for us is to maintain our growing trend and improve on what we achieved last year. I cannot wait to get started and go back on track."
