GT World Challenge Europe, arguably the toughest all-GT3 racing series in the world, is comprised of five sprint weekends and five endurance races, including one of the most brutal 24-hour races: the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa.

Three strong driver squads have been assembled to take on this challenge, combining fresh, young talent with seasoned pros and fast amateur racers.

#58 McLaren (Gold Cup): Louis Prette – Adam Smalley – Dean Macdonald*

#59 McLaren (Pro Cup): Benjamin Goethe – Marvin Kirchhöfer  – Joseph Loake*

#188 McLaren (Bronze Cup): Miguel Ramos*  – Thomas Fleming*  – Guilherme Oliveira*

“I’m super happy to be starting my third season with Garage 59 and McLaren,” said team regular Prette, racing the #58 McLaren. “We had a tough season last year where nothing went our way, even though we always had the package to be up front. This year is a new challenge for me as I will be racing in Gold Cup alongside Adam (Smalley) and Dean (Macdonald). I think we have a really strong package to fight for the championship and for some good positions overall. I can’t wait to fight with the best in class this year.”

Another Garage 59 regular, Benji Goethe had this to say about his hopes for the new season, again racing in the Pro Cup class, this time with McLaren factory driver Marvin Kirchhöfer and, newcomer to Garage 59, 2023 Aston Martin Autosport BRDC Young Driver of the Year Award winner Joseph Loake.

“I’m excited to be staying with Garage 59 for our third season together in GT World Challenge Europe,” said Goethe. “2024 was a tough year but I know how hard this team works and we have everything we need to make 2025 a success, fighting for podiums and even wins. I can’t wait to get going!”

Thomas Fleming is another newcomer to the team. After moving from karts to cars in 2023 he has made a strong impression on the world of GT racing. In 2025, he will contest the GT World Challenge Europe Bronze Cup alongside Miguel Ramos and Portuguese racer, Guilherme Oliveira, who also joins Garage 59 this year.

“I’m excited for the 2025 racing season ahead with Garage 59,” said Fleming. “The endurance championship will no doubt have some spectacular moments in waiting for us in the #188 and I can’t wait for the first round to begin. The objective is to win the Bronze Cup and with the line-up in this car I believe we have a strong chance to do just that.”

The 2025 GT World Challenge Europe season gets underway at Circuit Paul Ricard in the south of France on 12 April. The teams will be more than ready to go racing as Ricard also plays host to the official pre-season test (10-11 March), providing the teams with ample opportunity to get dialled in for the new season.
