Project 95-59 to honour the 30th anniversary of Le Mans victory by Lanzante
The summer of 1995 saw Lanzante etched into the motorsport history books, securing victory at the 24 Hours of Le Mans with the #59 McLaren F1 GTR. Lanzante will honour this legacy with its most ambitious project to date.
‘Project 95-59’ – codenamed after the year and the race-winning Le Mans entry number – is a limited-run, bespoke-engineered model based on a McLaren platform, embodying the experiences and knowledge built up by the team across three decades. It has been designed with the driver at the centre of the action, with a focus on engineering, technical, ownership and useability. The result is a driver-focused three seat layout with luggage capacity, enhanced touring range and a target power-to-weight figure of 700hp per ton.
The driver-focused model has been penned by renowned automotive designer Paul Howse, whose impressive creative CV includes the aerodynamic shape of the iconic P1. This latest design has been exclusively previewed to a select group of VIP customers as the design and development programme accelerates towards a public debut at Goodwood Festival of Speed.
More details of this unique celebration will be announced in the coming weeks.
