Barwell seals Silver line-up for GT World Challenge Europe return
Barwell Motorsport will once again compete at the top level of European GT racing this season after confirming the first crew for its full season 2025 GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS attack in both the Endurance and Sprint series.
For 2025, the Surrey team will contest the Silver Cup class with this first entry, with a trio of promising North American drivers heading across the Pond to handle the team’s first Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2. This marks a return to the GT World Challenge Europe Silver Cup for Barwell, which previously ran programmes in the class from 2018 to 2020. These seasons yielded a huge amount of success with multiple class wins, a victory in the 2019 24 Hours of Spa and then a Drivers’ and Team’s championship double in the 2020 Endurance Cup.
Rising American sportscar racing stars Bijoy Garg and Christian Bogle will be joined by young Canadian ace Adam Ali aboard the number #76 Huracan for Endurance Cup contest, while Garg and Bogle will also share the car in the Sprint Cup schedule. Support for this programme is being provided by Pelican Energy Consultants, Wing Venture Capital, BAM Motorsport Management, and the team’s commercial partners, Dama Fortuna Tequila and Lady Luck Irish Whiskey.
California-based Garg, 22, has impressed hugely since switching from single-seaters into sportscars, and last year tasted glory at the world-famous 24 Hours of Le Mans on his first attempt as he celebrated LMP2 class success with United Autosports. In 2023 he dominated the IMSA VP Racing SportsCar Challenge, securing eight LMP3 victories from 12 races, including a stunning six in a row toward the season’s end. He made his first GT racing appearance in last year’s CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa at the wheel of a Walkenhorst Racing Aston Martin, and that has given him the appetite for a full campaign this year.
Bogle, 23 from Louisiana, was a race winner in US Formula 4 before climbing the ladder to compete in the IndyCar feeder series, Indy NXT. With multiple seasons and a wealth of experience under his belt, Bogle expanded into sportscar racing in 2022. Just a year later he become an LMP2 race winner in the Asian Le Mans Series while also gaining experience in a BMW M4 GT3. While he has competed in some Le Mans Cup rounds – including at Spa – this will be his first full European racing campaign.
Ali hails from Toronto, Canada, and boasts impressive experience despite being just 20 years old. After being twice crowned Canadian National Karting Champion he graduated into sportscar racing in 2023, finishing second in the European Le Mans Series’ LMP3 division at the first attempt. He also competed in the Asian Le Mans Series and Ligier European Series before finishing the 2024 season as runner-up in the ELMS LMP3 standings with two wins from six races.
Barwell made waves during last year’s GT World Challenge Europe contest when the team fought for the outright Bronze class title until the final laps of the season, eventually finishing third overall in what proved an incredibly competitive category of the championship. Returning for another full programme of both Endurance and Sprint competition, the team once again has its eyes set on challenging for a class championship. News on Barwell Motorsport’s second European entry will be revealed shortly.

Adam Ali says: “I am thrilled to be driving with Barwell Motorsport for the 2025 GT World Challenge. Joining a team that has a lot of previous success in the series as well as being a winner in British GT in 2024 is something I am very much looking forward to, and I plan to help continue its success from years past with my team-mates in the 2025. Driving at the Spa 24 Hours will be a highlight of my career, and I can’t wait to compete at this crowning event in the series with Barwell’s Lamborghini Huracan GT3 EVO2, which I have a no doubt will serve as an ideal platform to transition to GT racing from Le Mans Prototypes through the season.”
Christian Bogle says: “I am very excited about the year ahead. This is a departure from what I've done in the past, but I’m looking forward to this new chapter for my career. Barwell has had so much success in the past, so I’m hoping that my team-mates and I can add to the already impressive stats of this team. I’m also looking forward to getting my first taste of the Huracan GT3 EVO2 on track soon.”
Bijoy Garg says: “This will be my first full season in a GT car, which is quite different than a prototype or single-seater, and I’m excited to get started with Barwell and attack the GT World Challenge season! The level of competition will be extremely high in this championship, but Barwell has a very strong track record in the series, and hopefully we can add to that success this year.”
Barwell Motorsport team principal Mark Lemmer adds: “I am delighted to welcome Christian, Bijoy and Adam to the Barwell family to create what is a very exciting lineup. I’m certain all three drivers won’t lack speed, so the focus will be about preparing the guys for the unique requirements to win in GT World Challenge Europe. The last time we competed full-time in the Silver class was back in 2020 and we won the Endurance Cup Team and Driver Championship double, so I’m relishing the chance to try and repeat that feat. This time we have the added Sprint Cup programme too, which just makes the challenge even more exciting.”
The GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS season gets underway with the traditional Season Prologue tests at Circuit Paul Ricard on March 10/11 ahead of the first round at the Le Castellet-based circuit on April 11-13.
