DUQUEINE Automotive and DUQUEINE Team strengthen ahead of a challenging campaign
- Sébastien Breuil to head DUQUEINE Team operations and lead engineer for LMP2 program
- Laurent Niek joins DUQUEINE Automotive as Director of Operations
- Jean-Karl Vernay takes on the role of DUQUEINE Team Sporting Director, in addition to his commercial duties for the D09 LMP3 project.
For the coming season, and regarding the future, Gilles Duqueine has decided to raise the ambitions of DUQUEINE Automotive and DUQUEINE Team. To this end, a number of high-caliber individuals have been recruited to reorganize the various departments.
Sébastien Breuil is the new Director of Operations for the DUQUEINE Team, and lead engineer for the LMP2 program with the #30 Oreca 07. Sébastien Breuil returns to a category he knows well, after several winning seasons in GT3. On the DUQUEINE Automotive side, Laurent Niek has recently taken up his position as Director of Operations and will oversee all the branch's activities, including the launch of the new LMP3-regulated prototype, the Duqueine D09. With his solid entrepreneurial and product development experience, Laurent brings his expertise to this pivotal year for LMP3, with a new car launched and designed in recent months and which will compete in the ELMS (European Le Mans Series) and Michelin Le Mans Cup in 2025. On the sporting front, Jean-Karl Vernay will be sporting director of the LMP2 team, which will be competing in the European Le Mans Series this year, with real ambitions in the overall standings. With a wealth of experience in single-seater, proto, GT and touring car racing, Jean-Karl will be putting his experience at the service of the team's LMP2 program. He will also retain his functions around the LMP3 project, as was the case in 2024. “I'm very confident in their motivation and ability to rise to these new challenges, which are part of the Groupe DUQUEINE DNA: Exigence and Performance”. Gilles DUQUEINE
