With the announcement of the Silver drivers, the two Akkodis ASP Team lineups are now complete. Clemens Schmid’s experience and Finn Gehrsitz’s passion should match perfectly with their respective teammates.

In the Lexus RC F GT3 #87, José María López and Petru Umbrarescu will team up with Clemens Schmid (born August 18, 1990 in Rum, Austria). Having already participated in several rounds of the FIA World Endurance Championship last season in the Akkodis ASP Team, Clemens should quickly get in the game. The Austrian driver, who has competed for several seasons in ADAC GT Masters, GT World Challenge and DTM, quickly adapted to the Lexus RC F GT3 in Spa-Francorchamps by setting the best time (GT3) in free practice. A talented driver and GT3 specialist, Clemens is renowned for his consistency and race management. He will be an asset in this top-notch crew.

“I am incredibly excited for the 2025 season! Competing at Le Mans has always been a dream of mine, and it is truly a privilege to bring this dream to life with such a successful and professional team as Akkodis ASP and a top-tier manufacturer like Lexus. With our outstanding lineup, I am confident that we have everything it takes to fight for top positions and be at the very front of the field.”

Aboard the Lexus RC F GT3 #78, with Ben Barnicoat and Arnold Robin, the young Finn Gehrsitz (born September 25, 2004 in Stuttgart, Germany) will make his debut in the WEC this season. Finn started with go-kart and had his first experience in prototypes when he was only 16 years old. The youngest poleman in the Michelin Le Mans Cup then entered the European Le Mans Series before tackling the Asian Le Mans Series in 2022. In 2023, Finn made his debut in ADAC GT Masters and regularly ranked in the top 3 of the Junior drivers. Last season, his participation in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Asia gave him a new experience in GT3.

“I am very excited to join the experienced Akkodis ASP Team and represent Lexus in the WEC. This is a big moment in my career and the fulfillment of a dream I’ve been working toward for many years. For me, motorsport has always been about passion, dedication, and pushing limits, and I’m ready to give everything to make this season a success. I believe in the strength of this team and the great potential we have together. The WEC is one of the toughest challenges in racing, but I feel more prepared than ever. I’m motivated, focused, and can’t wait to start this journey with Akkodis ASP and Lexus. It’s an exciting step, and I’m determined to make the most of it.”
