Grove Racing unveils Bathurst 12 Hour contender
Grove Racing is excited to announce its return to the prestigious Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour in 2025.
The team, five-time class winners at the event, will once again take on the challenging Mount Panorama circuit, this time in the Bronze class, behind the wheel of their Mercedes AMG GT3 Evo.
Team owners Stephen and Brenton Grove will be joined by Mercedes AMG Performance Driver Fabian Schiller in what promises to be a formidable lineup.
Schiller ,who will be fresh off his performance at the 2025 Rolex 24, will bring a wealth of experience to the team's efforts, and will complete his first laps aboard a Mercedes AMG GT3 at the iconic circuit.
Grove Racing missed the 2024 event due to logistical challenges following the team's switch to Mercedes AMG. However, the team is thrilled to return to Bathurst for another attempt at class honours.
For the first time in Grove Racing GT's history, the attack will be led by the Supercars arm of the team.
Led by Team Principal David Cauchi, the effort will see Matt Payne’s race engineer, Jack Bell, taking the reins of Car 4, supported by Kai Allen’s race engineer, Al McVean, and Technical Director Grant McPherson. The experienced engineering crew is excited to tackle the mountain in some different machinery to normal.
Stephen Grove expressed the team's excitement:
"To be back at an event we love, with Mercedes, is something we've been waiting for. Missing the race last year was disappointing, but it feels like we're coming home in a way.
"Having Fabian join us for the race is a huge advantage. His knowledge of the car and its nuances will be invaluable in such a competitive field."
Brenton Grove shared his enthusiasm for the collaboration between the Supercar and GT sides of the team:
"It’s going to be a real pleasure to work with the Supercar team for the weekend. I’m incredibly familiar with everyone and all the processes from the Supercar side, so it’ll be nice to experience it from a driver’s perspective."
"We have an outstanding team of people, so it will be cool to show them the other side of Grove Racing. Hopefully, we can achieve some great results."
The 2025 Meguiar's Bathurst 12 Hour will take place at the legendary Mount Panorama Circuit from January 31st to February 2nd.
Grove Racing is eager to take on the challenge and add another chapter to its storied history at Bathurst.
