Rutronik Racing and Porsche aim to win the GT World Challenge Europe title
The successful cooperation between Rutronik Racing and Porsche will enter its third season in 2025. The team from Remchingen will once again be competing in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS. In 2024, the team won the Bronze Cup team title in the combined overall classification. After becoming ADAC GT Masters champions in 2019, the team quickly established itself as one of the top international Porsche teams in recent years.
Next year, a Rutronik Racing Porsche 911 GT3 R will compete in the Pro class of the high-calibre championship. The car will compete in the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup and will be driven by strong Porsche drivers who will be announced at a later date. At the Sprint Cup in Barcelona last October, the team achieved its first overall victory in the racing series with Patric Niederhauser and Sven Müller, which was also the first Porsche victory in the history of the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Sprint Cup.
In addition to the Pro car, Rutronik Racing will once again enter a Porsche 911 GT3 R for customer drivers in the GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS. The team from the Enzkreis region will publish further details about this programme later this winter.
In the 2025 season, five Endurance Cup and five Sprint Cup race weekends will be held throughout Europe. The GT World Challenge is the most internationally renowned GT3 championship and will be contested by a high-quality field of participants. A large number of works drivers and top teams ensure a high performance density in the spectacular starting field. The only guest appearance in Germany will be the Endurance Cup event on the last weekend in August at the Nürburgring. The highlight of the season will be the CrowdStrike 24 Hours of Spa on the last weekend in June; with around 70 cars, the traditional event is the world's biggest GT3 race.
Klaus Graf, Team Principal Rutronik Racing: ‘We are very pleased about the continuation of the GT World Challenge Europe programme in the Endurance Cup and the Sprint Cup together with Porsche Motorsport. We would like to thank Porsche and our partners for their trust in our team! Our goal is to further intensify the partnership and move even closer together in order to build on this year's successes in 2025. A big thank you to Porsche Motorsport and those responsible for realising the constructive discussions for next year. We are convinced that, together with our manufacturer Porsche, we will put together a strong package in the highly competitive GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS next season to be able to fight for podium places and victories together!’
