SPS automotive performance and the US team The Heart of Racing will continue their collaboration in the GT3 sector in the upcoming motorsport season. Racing the Mercedes-AMG GT3 under the name Heart of Racing by SPS is scheduled in the 24H Series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, among others. The joint venture will once again kick off with the 24H Dubai.

SPS automotive performance and The Heart of Racing have been cooperating successfully in various international racing series since 2023. In the 2025 season, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 will once again be seen on the race track under the Heart of Racing by SPS banner. The collaboration includes entries in the 24H Series and the Intercontinental GT Challenge, where several successes have already been celebrated together in recent years. Right at the start of the 24H Dubai 2023, the German-American joint venture finished with a class podium, followed by an overall podium and class victory at the 12H Mugello. At its first appearance in the Intercontinental GT Challenge in Bathurst, Australia, in 2024, the Mercedes-AMG GT3 finished on the class podium at the first attempt in this extremely demanding race.

To kick off the 2025 motorsport year, the team will once again line up at the 24H Dubai from January 10-12 under the banner Heart of Racing by SPS. Ian James (GBR), Gray Newell, Hannah Grisham (both USA) and Zacharie Robichon (CAN) will share the wheel of the number 27 Mercedes-AMG GT3. In addition to the experienced duo of James and Newell, who already have several outings in the Mercedes-AMG GT3 to their name, Hannah Grisham and Zacharie Robichon will be racing in the GT3 car with the three-pointed star for the first time. Grisham has competed for The Heart of Racing in GT4 America in recent years and has enjoyed some success here. Robichon is an experienced GT3 driver who has already made numerous appearances in the FIA WEC, the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship and the 24 Hours of Le Mans. This international quartet aims to build on Heart of Racing by SPS' good results from previous years on the desert circuit in the Persian Gulf.

In the third year of the collaboration between SPS automotive performance and The Heart of Racing, the Willsbach-based team will once again enter the striking blue Mercedes-AMG GT3 in high-class events, thereby supporting the charitable work of The Heart of Racing. The Heart of Racing raises funds for pediatric research through its motorsport programs. The team has generated significant donations for Seattle Children's Hospital, one of the largest pediatric research facilities in the United States. SPS automotive performance is proud to be part of this project once again.

Stephan Sohn, team principal at SPS automotive performance: “We are very happy to be collaborating with The Heart of Racing again in 2025. The last two years together have been very successful and a lot of fun. I hope that the coming season will be just as successful. We are highly motivated to show a good performance on the track again.”
