Michelin official tire partner of International Sports Car
International Sports Cars is very happy and honoured to announce that Michelin will be the championship’s official tire partner. Michelin designs and manufactures a wide range of tires for all types of prototype cars worldwide and will provide the most suitable solution for the championship to the Nova NP02. Michelin Motorsport’s experience and quality on and off the track will ensure teams and drivers get the best tire to compete in ISC, the prototype series which belongs to the teams.
Matthieu Bonardel, Michelin Motorsport Director: Michelin is thrilled to support this new championship, which is expected to attract many teams and drivers due to its unique sports concept, pitting nations against each other on the track. Thanks to its innovative franchise model, the International Sports Cars series enables Michelin to establish a direct dialogue with the teams, highlighting the qualities of its competition tires, such as reliability, performance, and durability. By limiting the number of tires used at each event and helping teams make the most of their tires, Michelin offers the best value proposition for its partners as well as for the environment. The International Sports Cars series also allows Michelin to strengthen its presence in Asia and the Middle East, strategic growth markets for our business.
Cyrille Taesch, International Sports Cars: Having Michelin supporting and endorsing the series at such an early stage is key for us. Not only does it show they believe in the concept, it also gives teams and other stakeholders even more confidence in the project. This is something we are very proud and grateful for. Our closed league/nation franchise-based championship offers a real opportunity for teams. Beyond sport and racing, they become part of a virtuous business operation which will also benefit Michelin in terms of B2B and market presence.
Guillem Roux, Nova Proto President: Nova Proto is very happy and proud that the NP02 has been chosen as the one make car for the new International Sports Cars series. Not only the 2025 NP02 will have increased safety, the ISC spec car will be even more performing. It is a very exciting project which will also give us an opportunity to expand our footprint on new markets. Having Michelin aboard as the official tire supplier gives even more strength to the project and perfectly make sense since the car has been developed on Michelin tyres.
