The last round of the season of the International GT Open and the GT Cup Europe, and the prestigious Autodromo Nazionale di Monza, have been a perfect time and scenery for an important announcement: GT Sport and Michelin have extended their ten-year long partnership for another three years (2025-27).

Michelin has been the official tyre supplier of the International GT Open since 2015 and for the last ten seasons, and of the GT Cup Europe since its inception in 2019. It will continue to provide its products and technical support in the seasons 2025-27, with the assistance of Neumáticos Álvarez for on-track sale and service.

The agreement was publicly announced during a meeting with the press by Jesús Pareja, CEO of GT Sport, and Jean-Philippe Desfarge, Director Customer Racing Michelin Europe.

Jesús Pareja commented: “We are delighted to announce the continuation for three more years of our cooperation with Michelin, a brand synonymous of excellence, high-performance products and outstanding expertise. Both the International GT Open and the GT Cup Europe have been enjoying great success in recent years, with a steady growth in the level of competition and grid numbers, and the positive trend is expected to continue. If this is so it is also thanks to great technical partners such as Michelin.”

Jean-Philippe Desfarge, Director Customer Racing of Michelin Europe, stated: “We are very happy to announce the extension of the partnership with GT Sport and its two GT series. It is a relationship of close cooperation and mutual trust that we value tremendously, as it has helped us to develop our products and further build up our know-how. According to current production capacity levels on the Pilot Sport Cup GT tyre, it has been decided with GT Sport to cover the needs of both championships with the very well-known S9M tyre for 2025. This option will help to manage our growth in the GT segment ensuring our ability to supply all our customers in parallel.”
