Fuji : Toyota fastest in shortened FP3 session; Ferrari 1-2 in LMGT3

Final practice session before qualifying sees the No.8 Toyota Gazoo Racing GR010 Hybrid Hypercar lead the field. Ryo Hirakawa completes the quickest lap of the 60-minute session by setting a 1m29.621s early in the session which is cut short by 20-minutes for track repairs to be administered.

Hirakawa’s time proves to be 0.086s faster than the Cadillac Racing V-Series.R Hypercar driven by Alex Lynn and Earl Bamber. Ferrari AF Corse place third after Antonio Fuoco peaks on a 1m29.707s lap, meaning just over 0.1s cover the top three in Hypercar.

Alpine continue to show strong pace with its new A424 Hypercar model as Charles Milesi claims the fourth best lap. The No.35 Alpine survives lurid moment at T10 after locking up while about to overtake the No.99 Proton Porsche.

The No.7 Toyota GR 010 Hypercar places fifth as Kamui Kobayashi sets the best time before teammates Mike Conway and Nyck de Vries concentrate on longer race sim runs. The top six is completed by the COTA pole sitting No.51 Ferrari AF Corse entry as Antonio Giovinazzi sets the best time of 1m30.122s.

No.83 AF Corse Ferrari grabs seventh as Robert Kubica again sets the best time for the yellow Ferrari. Hertz Team Jota sees its leading Porsche 963 in the session, the No.38 car, place eighth, as Oliver Rasmussen sets the best time. Rounding out the top ten is the No.99 Proton Competition Porsche 963 and the No.63 Lamborghini Iron Lynx SC63 Hypercar

No.55 Vista AF Corse sets the pace in the LMGT3 category with a best lap of 1m41.206s set by Francois Heriau.

The sister Vista AF Corse Ferrari 296 LM GT3 driven by Davide Rigon makes it a Prancing Horse lock-out as the Italian sets a lap of 1m41.313s. Akkodis ASP Lexus continue strong form at home track with Arnold Robin claiming the third best time ahead of the No.95 United Autosports McLaren with Joshua Caygill at the wheel.

No.92 Manthey PureRxcing Porsche 911 LM GT3 car is fifth in hands of Aliaksandr Malykhin. TF Sport complete the top six as Hiroshi Koizumi in the No.82 Corvette post the best time.
