Belén and the DKR Engineering team have worked tirelessly for several months to find a solution to these issues, exploring several avenues to best respond to the morphological differences between the drivers of the #4 Duqueine M30 - D08.

Despite these efforts, no satisfactory solution has been found to guarantee Belén an optimum driving position, ensuring her physical integrity without compromising her competitiveness. Belén García is now working to continue her European Le Mans programme this year.

"It's with deep disappointment that I'm withdrawing from the 4 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps. I've had persistent problems with my driving position since starting my European Le Mans Series campaign.

Despite a lot of work, particularly on the bucket seat, a second set of belt and the pedals, finding a satisfactory solution to our morphology differences proved impossible.

An unsuitable driving position can severely affect my performance and, more importantly, my safety. I've noticed increased risks at high speeds in recent races without a suitable position. I've tried to keep my head down and focus on driving, but I feel like I can't fully control the car. It can also reduce my ability to react quickly to critical situations.

After assessing all these safety aspects and without a viable solution, I made the difficult but necessary decision not to contest the race. I love racing, but I can't continue to put myself at risk. I would like to thank DKR Engineering for the opportunity and for their support, and I wish the team all the best for the future.

I hope that the challenges I have encountered can open the discussion on opening motorsport to greater diversity, whether in terms of gender, origin, or in my case, physical build. It's a subject that requires some in-depth thinking about the adaptability of equipment. To fully embrace this diversity, cars must be designed to consider the importance of developing more inclusive solutions, enabling every driver, whatever their physical characteristics, to compete in complete safety.

I hope to be back on track soon in the European Le Mans Series. Thank you all for your understanding and support. "
