Alpine F1 Team confirmed on Friday that Bruno Famin, Director of Alpine Motorsports and Team Principal of the F1 team, will be stepping down from his role with the team that is fielding Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon.
Just over a year after his promotion to Director of Alpine Motorsports, responsible for Alpine's activities in all motorsport disciplines, Bruno Famin will be stepping down from his current role as Team Principal of the F1 team at the end of August.
The former Technical Director and then Director of Peugeot Sport, who subsequently worked for the FIA, had initially taken on this role on an interim basis following the major upheaval of 2023 and the departure of Otmar Szafnauer. Bruno Famin joined Alpine F1 via the engine division at Viry-Châtillon in 2022.
However, he will retain his role in Alpine's other racing commitments, notably in Endurance with the A424 programme.
A new F1 Team Principal will be appointed in the coming days.
