The 62 cars taking part in the 92nd edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans will be on track this Sunday for the traditional Test Day. Although all the cars will be there, there will be more than 186 drivers at Le Mans on Sunday. Why should that be? Quite simply because the teams have the possibility of fielding up to 5 drivers per car, and many have decided to give some driving time to their reserve driver.

Cadillac Racing will have to do without Scott Dixon and Alex Palou, both of whom have been retained in IndyCar at Road America. While Earl Bamber and Alex Lynn will be driving together in the Cadillac V-Series.R #2, Tristan Vautier is expected in the #3 car with Sébastien Bourdais and Renger van der Zande. The French driver, who made his return to IndyCar last weekend, is a reserve driver for Cadillac Racing at Le Mans.

Dane Cameron, who is competing in IMSA this season, is entered in the three 963s for Porsche Penske Motorsport, as a reserve driver. Toyota Gazoo Racing is playing it safe with Sébastien Buemi and Mike Conway in the two GR010s, as is Ritomo Miyata - the reservist - who will be making his LMP2 debut at Le Mans with COOL Racing, at the wheel of the n°37 Oreca.

Nick Yelloly and Jesse Krohn, who drive the M Hybrid V8 in IMSA, have been retained by BMW M Team WRT for both prototypes. In the Alpine Endurance Team camp, Jules Gounon will be back in the #35 A424 after his two WEC appearances at Imola and Spa-Francorchamps, replacing the injured Ferdinand Habsburg.

Andrea Caldarelli is on the two Lamborghini Iron Lynx SC63s, as is Jordan Pepper, another official Lamborghini driver who is not expected to start. Caldarelli will race the #19 car. Malthe Jakobsen, a Peugeot Sport reserve driver, will take the wheel of the 9X8 2024. The Dane, who will be competing in the 24 Hours with COOL Racing, is entered in the two lionesses.

In LMP2, Kyffin Simpson will be absent with Nielsen Racing and Nolan Siegel with United Autosports, both of whom will also be competing at Road America in IndyCar.

There's nothing to report in LMGT3, with the crews scheduled to take part in the Le Mans 24 Hours and no reinforcements expected.

As a reminder, the rookies who will not be present at Le Mans on Sunday because of the meeting will have to complete a minimum of 5 laps on Wednesday during the first free practice session.
