GT Open - First pole of the year for Christopher Haase and the Eastalent Audi

It will be another day of great weather and exciting action at the Hockenheimring as fans flock for Race 2 of the International GT Open later today.

 

Qualifying 2 took place in perfect conditions and saw Christopher Haase, at the wheel of the Eastalent Racing Audi R8 LMS shared with Simon Reicher, to take the first pole of the season. The German driver stopped the clock in 1.37.263 and was confident ahead the race.

 

We had a difficult start of the season and is nice to bounce back and be in pole. The car is mega, it’s home track for me and it seems we will have a beautiful day, with many fans, so I hope we can have a great result.”

 

In first row will also be Diego Menchaca in the Motopark Mercedes, 0s568 from the top. In row 2, the best of the Ferraris  with Vincent Abril (Spirit of Race, +0s658) and another Audi, the ORacing car of Karol Basz (+0s686), first in Pro-Am.

 

Eddie Cheever (Spirit of Race Ferrari, +0s751) will start from row 3 and will have next to him Lewis Proctor in the Greystone McLaren (+0s780). Giuseppe Cipriani in the Lambo of Il Barone Rampante took the pole in Am.
