Like many other manufacturers, Alpine will be testing next week. And for this session, which should be the last before the Le Mans 24 Hours, the French manufacturer has chosen the Paul Ricard circuit.

All the regular drivers will be present, including Ferdinand Habsburg. The good news is that the Austrian - who has been recovering since crashing out of the track during testing at MotorLand Aragon - will indeed be taking part in the Var, to regain his sensations and see if he is ready to return to competition.

If the interim role has so far been filled by reserve driver Jules Gounon, this would be very good news for Alpine which - as a reminder - took its A424 up to Hyperpole for the first time today during the Qualifying session of the 6 Hours of Spa in Belgium.
