Having found the third driver for its #30 Oreca 07, the Duqueine Team is also said to have asked the ACO to move up to LMP2 Pro/Am.

When the first entry list for the Le Mans 24 Hours was unveiled, Duqueine made no secret of the identity of its first two drivers. And with good reason: they are James Allen and Jean-Baptiste Simmenauer, who are both defending the interests of the Alès-based outfit in the European Le Mans Series.

But the third man won't be Niels Koolen. The Dutchman's contract only covers the European series, the French round of which takes place this weekend at the Paul-Ricard. No, the last man in the crew is John Falb, who is defending Nielsen Racing's interests in the European Le Mans Series.

The 52-year-old American has taken part in the classic race four times between 2019 and 2023, all in an Oreca 07. However, Duqueine Team has applied to the ACO to have the N°30 car reclassified as an LMP2 Pro/Am car, as has already been done for Panis Racing, which runs Rodrigo Sales. This would bring the number of cars in LMP2 Pro/Am to eight from the original six, representing half the category.
