Born in Santiago, Chile, Nico Pino quickly found his path in motorsport. Karting was his first step before moving towards single-seaters, notably competing in British and Asian Formula 4 and EuroFormula Open.

Curious and versatile, the young Chilean driver also ventured into endurance racing, having a successful participation in the 24 Hours of Daytona, Le Mans Series, Asian Le Mans Series and achieving a remarkable podium finish at the 100th edition of the 24h of Le Mans.

Present across different championships, Stellantis Motorsport aims to support promising young drivers in their development. There are numerous opportunities with Formula E, WEC and customer programs in electric rallying, Rally4 or Rally2.

“We were immediately impressed by Nico Pino’s approach”, explains Jean-Marc Finot, VP Stellantis Motorsport. “He is versatile, and he has a great interest in our various activities. We will establish a testing program across different categories and will promote him, especially since South America is key for both Motorsport and the Stellantis Group. Nico Pino is our first step in a Young Driver program that we intend to expand."

“I am very proud to join Stellantis Motorsport and to have the opportunity to develop myself as a driver upon the different categories and manufacturers," concludes Nico Pino. "Motorsport is a strong passion in Chile. I am looking forward to a challenging year full of opportunities!
