With just a few days to go before the second round of the 2024 World Endurance Championship season, the WEC has sent competitors the BoP table that will be in force at next week's 6 Hours of Imola.

This is one of the major innovations of the new BoP system to be introduced in 2024: power control above 210 kph. But we'll have to wait to see it in use, as it won't yet be in force at Imola for reasons we don't know. Perhaps the data is lacking, or perhaps it simply won't have any particular impact on this track.

In addition, as expected in view of the differences in performance observed at the Losail International Circuit, Manufacturers' Compensation has changed the figures significantly. To what extent? It's hard to say, given that the homologation parameters may also have been revised, with four cars making their first competitive outing at world level: the Alpine A424, the Lamborghini SC63, the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 C and the BMW M Hybrid.

We'll leave it to you to analyse the figures above, with a fairly substantial drop in weight for a number of cars apart from the Cadillac V-Series.R and the Lamborghini SC63, which on the other hand gain more power than their rivals.

For its first outing in competition, the Peugeot 9X8 2024 will have to contend with a weight of 1,061 kg (making it the heaviest car in its category) and a maximum power output of 510 kw below 210 km/h.
