ELMS - Ferdinand Habsburg replaced by Paul-Loup Chatin at Cool Racing in Barcelona
While there is still some doubt as to whether he will take part in the 6 Hours of Imola with Alpine (April 21), Ferdinand Habsburg has withdrawn from the 4 Hours of Barcelona (April 14), the opening round of the 2024 European Le Mans Series season.
As a reminder, the 26-year-old Austrian has to undergo a period of convalescence following an accident in which he was involved last week at MotorLand-Aragon (Spain), during an endurance simulation run by Alpine.
Forced to make up for 'Ferdi's' absence, the Swiss team run by Nicolas Lapierre and Alexandre Coigny didn't go far to find a replacement for him, as they settled on his team-mate at Alpine, Frenchman Paul-Loup Chatin, for whom the Oreca 07 and ELMS hold no secrets. He will share the wheel of the #47 Oreca with Alejandro Garcia and Frederik Vesti.
Statement from Thursday 4th April. ⁰The whole COOL Racing crew wishes Ferdinand a speedy recovery. ⁰⁰#COOLRacing #CLXMotorsport pic.twitter.com/8U3ngXSCkf
