2 Seas Motorsport is to extend its 2024 racing plans with an exciting addition, confirming a debut entry into the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS Endurance Cup. The reigning British GT Teams’ champions will run with the Mercedes-AMG GT3 in the Gold Cup, driven by Sh. Isa Al Khalifa (Bahrain), Lewis Williamson (Scotland), and Martin Kodrić (Croatia). The championship will compete across Europe, before the final round heads to the Middle East for the inaugural round in Saudi Arabia.

The exciting trio brings together three drivers who have driven with the team across multiple championships. Double Gulf 12 Hours champion, and team co-owner, Sh. Isa Al Khalifa will make his European race debut, and the 2024 calendar follows on from his successful podium result in Yas Marina at the end of last season. He is joined by former Autosport BRDC Award winner, Lewis Williamson, who rejoins the team having scored multiple podium finishes with the team during the 2022 British GT campaign. Martin Kodrić is also back with the team having been teammates with Sh. Isa for the Gulf 12 Hours victories, and has also scored victories in GT Open and British GT events.“This is an exciting new challenge for the team, and for me, personally. We have shown that we can more than compete with the best, and you only really improve if you push yourself. GT World Challenge Europe has become the performance benchmark for drivers, teams, and manufacturers, and it attracts the best in the world. We had a taste of the challenge we face during the Gulf 12 Hours, and more than proved we can take it to the big teams, and we will give this new challenge everything we have. It is really great to be running with Lewis and Martin, two hugely experienced and quick drivers, and we are aiming for strong results straight out of the box when we arrive at Paul Ricard.” Sh. Isa Al Khalifa, 2 Seas Motorsport team co-owner and driver, #60 Mercedes-AMG GT3

The Bahraini-British GT3 squad is no stranger to European competition, having campaigned in – and won – several International GT Open rounds over recent season. They have also enjoyed success in endurance competition, with back-to-back victories at the Gulf 12 Hours, along with a further double podium during the event at the end of last year.

Running with a slightly updated version of the podium finishing Gulf 12 Hours ‘palm tree’ livery, entry into the six-event Endurance Cup will see 2 Seas Motorsport first roll out at the pre-season prologue at Paul Ricard next month. Round 1 will return to the French circuit, and then the championship’s headline event will mark the team’s first 24-hour event as they take on the Crowdstrike 24 Hours of Spa, a week after competing there with the British GT campaign. From here, round 3 visits the Nürburgring, before the final European outing in Monza. The curtain falls on the season in November as the championship heads to Saudi Arabia, for the first ever 6 Hours of Jeddah event.
