Initially scheduled for Saturday 24 and Sunday 25 February, then postponed to Sunday 25 and Monday 26, the Prologue to the 2024 WEC season is finally set to take place on Monday 26 and Tuesday 27 February. Provided that nothing happens between now and then to hinder the delivery of the equipment via sea freight.

The current geopolitical situation means that it is no longer possible to pass through Bab-el-Mandeb, the strait separating Djibouti and Eritrea. So the containers that were supposed to arrive by sea were unloaded in Saudi Arabia (Jeddah). They were then shipped by road to Qatar and the Losail International Circuit.

We are now heading for three practice sessions on Monday, for a total of 9 hours of driving, before a fourth session the following day, lasting four hours. There will be just one day between these and the first free practice session of the Qatar 1812 km event, scheduled for Thursday 29 February at 12.20pm.
