Despite an unfortunate absence from the WEC and Le Mans, Mercedes-AMG is determined to make a contribution to GT racing, and if possible to the highest level.

While Mercedes-AMG sets out this weekend to claim a third consecutive success on Mont Panorama, the German marque remains more involved than ever in GT racing. The current Mercedes-AMG GT3 is due to have an offspring in 2026, proof of the interest shown in customer racing at Affalterbach. 

 

Mercedes-AMG Motorsport Director Christoph Sagemüller spoke to Endurance-Info about GT3, hypercars, hydrogen and letting Mick Schumacher and Jules Gounon race for another brand this year.
