Lorenzo Ferrari in GTWC Europe with Tresor Competition
Lorenzo Ferrari will return to Tresor Competition, following a two-year absence. The Italian, who turned 21 last October, first joined the Ferdinando Geri-led squad in 2021 to claim both the Italian GT Endurance and Sprint titles, following his European Le Mans Series debut in 2022 ended with the LMGTE crown and two highly successful seasons in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS.
The young Piacenza-based driver has reunited with Tresor Competition, the team that secured the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint and Team titles last year, for a 2024 Endurance and Sprint Cup programme in the SRO Motorsports' series.
This year Ferrari will drive an Audi R8 LMS GT3 Evo II, the latest generation of the German sportscar which led to victory in four out of eight Italian GT events three years ago.
Ferdinando Geri. "We welcome back Lorenzo in our team. He already emerged as a talented driver. I'm confident our collaboration will bring good results. We have worked hard to strengthen the team's structure looking forward this new chapter, and I am sure that we will be able to achieve more successes thanks to the experience and the determination of everyone.”
Lorenzo Ferrari. "Returning to the Tresor Competition is an important opportunity for my career, and I can't wait to get back on track in the Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS. It's a significant challenge that will allow me to compete with the best drivers in the world and to participate in legendary competitions like the Crowdstrike Spa 24H. I thank Ferdinando Geri for his trust. I will do utmost to achieve the best possible results.” Fanatec GT World Challenge Europe powered by AWS will kick off the first week of April, as the Paul Ricard circuit in the south of France hosts the opener round of the Endurance Cup, ahead of 24H Spa, Nürburgring, Monza and the season finale in Jeddah. Sprint series will start at Brands Hatch one month later on May, in order to visit later Misano, Hockenheim, Magna-Cours and Barcelona.
