Lazarus will compete with an Aston Martin Vantage GT3 this year for what's shaping up to be a busy campaign in a top GT series.

The Italian team has embarked on a new intensive programme, to assist five-time MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo as he makes the exciting transition to car racing. Lazarus will work with Aston Martin Racing, which builds and supplies the Vantage GT3 to partners, while the 36-year-old Spaniard makes the transition to GT3 level machinery. Lorenzo, who retired from world championship motorcycle racing in 2019, contested the 2022 and 2023 seasons spent in the Porsche Mobil 1 Super Cup and the Italian Carrera Cup championship.

Lazarus boasts a glorious history. Its biggest achievement to date came in 2016 when it won the International GT Open title.

The Italian squad competed for 15 years in single-seaters, reaching the pinnacle of its fame in the Formula 3000 International Championship and GP2 Series.

"Passion for motorsport has always been part of my life, now even on four wheels. I've met some people who have given me the chance to look at a project together. I want to thank Lazarus and Aston Martin Racing for giving me this opportunity to start a new journey I hope it will lead me to significant goals in the world of motorsport," said Lorenzo.

Lazarus will announce shortly this year's commitments.
