Paul di Resta - former F1 driver, 2020 Le Mans winner and Peugeot Sport driver in the FIA World Endurance Championship - will contest the 2024 European Le Mans Series (ELMS) in an exciting LMP2 Pro entry with United Autosports.

“Really happy to be asked to come back to the European Le Mans Series,” says di Resta, “this time in the top class. There will be a lot of work to do, but I’m really looking forward to driving the LMP2 – especially with the increase in power.”

Di Resta - who made his debut with United Autosports at the 2018 Rolex 24 at Daytona and has raced with the team every year since - will team up with Fabio Scherer and another driver who is yet to be revealed in the #23 ORECA 07.

Filipe Albuquerque was previously announced as the Platinum-graded driver in the #23 however, due to his IMSA commitments with Acura Motorsports, the Portuguese racer and 2020 ELMS champion will no longer contest the upcoming ELMS season.

“This will be our ninth consecutive year in the European Le Mans Series,” says Richard Dean, United Autosports CEO. “The competition keeps growing, it’s a really exciting series to be part of and, with Paul and Fabio announced for the #23 ORECA 07, we have two strong drivers who are dedicated, fast and determined to bring the championship home.”

For di Resta, the six-round European series will run alongside his Stateside commitments with United Autosports in the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship - where he’ll share driving duties with Daniel Goldburg, Bijoy Garg and, at the upcoming Rolex 24 at Daytona, Felix Rosenqvist - and his continued partnership with Peugeot Sport in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

“Thank you to Peugeot for the opportunity to race with United Autosports in Europe again,” says di Resta. “It’s going to be a busy year, but when you’re racing that’s a great way to be.”

United Autosports will run three ORECA 07s in the 2024 ELMS – the #21 LMP2 Pro/Am of Schneider, Jarvis and Meyrick and the #22 LMP2 Pro of Hanley, Sato and Ugran.
