Luca will race the #34 Oreca LMP2 alongside Clement Novalak and Ollie Gray, and, like teammate Clement, has plenty of single-seater experience, having raced with great success in GP3, GP2 and Formula 2. This ultimately culminated in a fine third position in the latter in 2019.

Most recently, in 2023, the Italian tested with the Nissan Formula E team as part of his simulator and development role with the squad. In addition, the Platinum-graded driver has extensive endurance racing mileage in both GTs and Prototypes and is now naturally looking forward to making his European Le Mans Series debut.

Inter Europol Competition will field three cars in the series: the #43 Oreca LMP2 raced by Vlad Lomko, Tom Dillmann and Sebastian Alvarez, and the #34 LMP2 with Clement, Ollie and Luca. The #88 Ligier LMP3 entry will be raced by Alex Bukhantsov, Pedro Perino and Kai Askey.

The six-round championship, featuring a record 43 entries, gets underway in April at Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and concludes at the now traditional Algarve Portimao venue in October.

"It's a strong lineup, and I'm super excited to join the Inter Europol Competition and teammates Clement and Ollie, says Luca Ghiotto. The European Le Mans Series is very strong, and we must all push to the maximum to be successful, and I think we will. I love the European circuits, they're all mega, but I'm especially looking forward to Mugello. I can't wait to do this race with the LMP2; it's a track I love and perfect for these cars. It's been a while since my last race; I have been keeping myself occupied with plenty of track time, but I want to compete, which makes this opportunity with IEC and ELMS much more exciting. 2024 will be great; I'm looking forward to getting back on track in Barcelona."
