GMB Motorsport's newly acquired Aston Martin Vantage GT3 will be driven by three familiar names when the team participates in Fanatec GT World for the first time in 2024. Gustav Birch and Simon Birch will be the regular pairing throughout the season's races, while Kasper H. Jensen will join the duo during the five endurance races in the Endurance Cup, where the time on the track will be divided between three drivers.

Team Principal Henrik Lundgaard is happy to have the crew in place in good time and is now looking forward to seeing the new driver line-up in action.

« There has never been any doubt about how we wanted to complete the car, and I am extremely pleased that we succeeded with that plan. We have two fast and hungry young talents in Simon and Gustav, and with the addition of Kasper's experience and winning mentality, I think we have found an almost complete crew. Now we are just looking forward to getting some heat in the tyres and getting started with the final preparations for the season. »

Double role for seven-time champion

Alongside his role as a driver in the endurance races, Kasper H. Jensen will have a number of extra tasks throughout the season as he will act as Driving Coach for his two young teammates, whom he will coach both technically and mentally.

« Kasper has been a mentor for our Junior Team for a long time, and we have been very pleased with the work he has done with the young drivers, so it is only natural that we are now expanding that role. There aren't many people who know more about winning races than Kasper, and we need to make sure we utilise that knowledge," explains Henrik Lundgaard.

In recent years, the GMB threesome has had the opportunity to test themselves in the GT3 class through participation in the Le Mans Cup, which Kasper H. Jensen won in 2022 ahead of Gustav Birch in third place. Simon Birch made his debut in the race series in the season just ended, where the 17-year-old driver gained his first experience of international motorsport.

The first big task of the season for the trio will be the first Fanatec GT World race of the year, which will be held at the French Paul Ricard circuit in April. Before then, there will be the opportunity to relive the track through a couple of official test days in early March.
