It's no secret that the Peugeot 9X8 will undergo a major evolution in 2024. The French prototype, which complies with LMH technical regulations, will be entering its third season of competition.

From an aesthetic point of view, there will be no spoiler, which runs counter to the marketing plan for a spoilerless car. However, don't expect anything too prominent.

The Peugeot 9X8 was spotted testing at Paul Ricard earlier this month.

A video taken from outside the circuit is currently circulating on TikTok, showing the 9X8 in action.

I am going to mark this one up to translation: "From an aesthetic point of view, there will be no spoiler, which runs counter to the marketing plan for a spoilerless car. However, don't expect anything too prominent."

The car in the video is clearly running a rear spoiler/wing. I think what is meant is that the rear wing is not as prominent, in contrast to those found on other cars like the 499P and GR010.

I think the Peugeot 9x8-Evo car still relies heavily on the ground effects, and it looks like to me is that they chose to run a wing-element between the two smaller rear arch winglets as those seam to still be present.

The main question, I have, is how will they make aero balance adjustments? The LMH regulations, allow a car to have one moveable element. On the original spec car, they chose to have a moveable element underneath the car. Could they instead have chosen to move the adjustable element to the new rear wing?
