In action in Portugal. With three of the four FIA homologation phases completed, the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione took to the track in Portugal for the first time in the hands of Team Duqueine, in view of its debut season in the World Endurance Championship that will take place in 2024. The official team by Isotta Fraschini took advantage of the more favorable climate of the Estoril region, not far from the capital Lisbon, to discover the hypercar of the Milanese company with at the wheel, in addition to the expert Jean-Karl Vernay that developed it during the year, also his future teammate.

Alex García in action. The young Alejandro García González, 2023 European Lmp3 endurance champion and also ELMS Rookie of the Year, tested for the first time the Isotta Fraschini Tipo 6 LMH with which he will race in the 2024 FIA WEC. The 20-year-old Mexican is now racing in the Asian Le Mans Series in the Lmp2 class and in 2024 he will also repeat the European Championship with the Cool Racing's Lmp2 car.

Focus on race pace. On the Portuguese track the Isotta Fraschini Duqueine crew (this will be the official name of the team in 2024) concentrated mainly on long repeated sessions to simulate various phases of the race and possible interventions that could occur, completing over 1200 kilometers of tests without ever focusing on the lap times from a qualifying perspective.

Claudio Berro, member of the IF Board of Directors and Motorsport manager: «I am very satisfied with the first test done by the Isotta Fraschini Duqueine team. It was also Alex García's first time driving a hypercar and he behaved very professionally, assisted by Jean -Karl Vernay. The two Portuguese days saw several long runs in which the car performed perfectly, which allowed us to collect a lot of information on the tires and on the set-up and aerodynamic settings».

Jean-Karl Vernay, official Isotta Fraschini driver: «We are satisfied since it was a super productive session! We were lucky enough to enjoy splendid weather that allowed us to run the car as it should. We have continued to improve the car's settings and all systems work well. It was also Alejandro's first time behind the wheel of the Tipo 6 LMH Competizione, a great opportunity for me and the team's expert engineers to introduce him to this new adventure. We can't wait to face the next tests and the first race in Qatar!».
