Lexus Racing and Vasser Sullivan announced today that Toyota Gazoo Racing drivers Ritomo Miyata and Mike Conway will complete the two-car lineup for the 2024 Rolex 24 At Daytona in January for the No. 12 and No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 entries.

Miyata, the reigning 2023 Super Formula and Super GT500 Champion, will join Parker Thompson, Frankie Montecalvo and Aaron Telitz in the Vasser Sullivan No. 12 Lexus RC F GT3 competing in the GT Daytona (GTD) class. Conway joins Jack Hawksworth, Ben Barnicoat and Kyle Kirkwood driving the No. 14 Lexus RC F GT3 in the GTD PRO class. Hawksworth, Barnicoat and Conway teamed for the 2023 Rolex 24, earning a third-place finish that helped propel Hawksworth, Barnicoat and the No. 14 to the GTD PRO season championship.

“As the Lexus Racing program continues to grow, we are fortunate to work closely with our global racing partners in Gazoo Racing (GR),” said Jeff Bal, senior manager of Lexus Motorsports. “Opportunities like this allow us to better share resources and apply learnings across multiple series in many of our global racing efforts. Adding championship-winning GR drivers Ritomo Miyata and Mike Conway to our Rolex 24 lineup gives Vasser Sullivan and Lexus two solid chances to win this prestigious endurance race.”

Miyata, 24, is also set to compete in 2024 in Formula 2, the European Le Mans Series in the Le Mans Prototype 2 (LMP2) class and as the reserve driver for the Toyota’s Hypercar team in the FIA World Endurance Championship.

“First, I want to say thank you to the Vasser Sullivan team, Lexus, TRD (Toyota Racing Development) and Gazoo Racing for giving me this opportunity,” Miyata said. “The Rolex 24 at Daytona will be the first time I’ve competed internationally outside of Japanese motorsports, so I’m very excited and looking forward to working with the team.”

Conway is no stranger to IMSA competition, appearing in 18 races since 2013 with eight podium finishes. He’s a two-time WEC champion and has been driving for Toyota Gazoo Racing there since 2015, including a win at the 2021 24 Hours of Le Mans.

“I’m really looking forward to being back with Vasser Sullivan in the Lexus again for the Rolex 24,” Conway said. “… It will be good to have another crack at Daytona. We came up short last year, but hopefully we’ll have things stronger for us.”
