Robert Kubica with Orlen Team AO by TF in 2024

Robert Kubica will once again compete in the WEC World Endurance Championship in the 2024 season. The Pole will get behind the wheel of a car from the Italian team AF Corse, which is a partner of Ferrari. He will combine starts in the WEC with appearances in the European Le Mans Series. In addition, Kubica will continue his cooperation with ORLEN for the next three years as one of the group's main brand ambassadors.

We also consistently support the best Polish racing driver, the only Polish competitor in F1 history - Robert Kubica. We have decided to extend our sponsorship agreement with Robert for another three years. We will support him in his fight for successive trophies in the most prestigious racing series. At the same time, we will continue to make effective use of this cooperation in the field of marketing and communications," says Daniel Obajtek, President of the Management Board of ORLEN.

For Robert Kubica, next year will be another year in the World Endurance Championship. In his second full season, the Pole won the championship title in the LMP2 class with the ORLEN Team WRT team. Next year, the Polish driver will be vying for the triumph in the Hypercar class, the royal category of the fastest cars, the winners of which officially become endurance world champions. The Pole will join the AF Corse team working with Ferrari and will get behind the wheel of the 499P model - one of three in the WEC 2024 stakes. The Italian team won the Le Mans 24 Hours race in the 2023 season.

During his five years with ORLEN, Kubica has enjoyed success in prestigious racing series. During this time, he returned to racing in Formula One, first with the Williams team and then with the Alfa Romeo Racing Team ORLEN. In 2021, in the colours of the Belgian ORLEN Team WRT, he triumphed in the European Le Mans Series in the LMP2 category. A year later, he stood on the second step of the podium of the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans with his Italian Prema teammates.

He repeated that success this year and crowned his excellent season with a championship title in the WEC World Endurance Championship - again in the colours of the Belgian ORLEN Team WRT. Now the driver from Krakow will fulfil his dream of performing in a Ferrari car. With the AF Corse team, Kubica will compete in the Hypercar class - the highest category of the World Endurance Championship. In 2024, we will also see him again in the European Le Mans Series in the colours of ORLEN Team AO by TF.

One more important aspect of Kubica's sporting career is worth mentioning. For years, the ORLEN Team driver has been a role model for young, talented drivers who draw on his knowledge and experience. Recently, it was loudly echoed in the media that Kacper Sztuka, also an ORLEN Team driver, is joining the Red Bull Academy where he will develop his skills.
