The first team to officially announce its participation in the 2024 International GT Open is a new entry, although certainly not an unknown name. ISR Racing has confirmed it will field an Audi R8 LMS entrusted to Libor Milota and Filip Salaquarda.

Based in Čestlice, ISR Racing is the most successful Czech team on the international scene and was founded in 1993 by Igor Salaquarda. After being a strong force in single-seater formulae (European F.3000, Euroseries F.3, IFM and World Series FR 3.5) and having in its ranks drivers like Daniel Ricciardo, Alexander Rossi and Sam Bird, it switched with equal success to GT racing, contesting mainly the Blancpain GT Series and the ADAC GT Masters. It is the current reigning ESET GT Endurance and Sprint champion.

It now will come back to the forefront of the international scene, in the GT Open, where the Audi will be entered in the Pro-Am class with an all-Czech entry. Libor Milota (42) made his debut in the GT Open at the Hungaroring round this year after being crowned ESET GT Sprint and Endurance champion in 2022.

After shining with single-seaters (F.3, A1 GP, FR 3.5), Filip Salaquarda (39) has been a regular sportscar and GT contender since 2011 and has taken the ESET GT double crown last year. He too has one single GT Open appearance, back in 2013 with AF Corse.

ISR Racing has planned thorough preparation over the winter and already started testing at the Slovakiaring.

Libor Milota commented: "I'm really looking forward to the whole season! It is a huge challenge for me, and of course a lot of work as well, but I believe that with humility, the support of a great team, and step by-step, we will enjoy the season. I'm looking forward to beautiful circuits, great competitors, and an amazing atmosphere!"

Filip Salaquarda stated: “I’m very happy to be back to international racing and do it in the GT Open with our ISR Racing team and Libor Milota. The GT Open is a very nice and competitive series, I could have a little taste of it ten years ago, and I am excited to be back. Hopefully, we will be a strong pairing in Pro-Am, scoring points and aiming at some podium finishes in the class.”
